While Scapers are training their RS archaeology skill, RS team is also working hard to improve the experience at the same time. This week archaeology has some new changes and fixes that you can learn from us. 

Changes to RS archaeology skill this week  

There are totally four archaeology changes announced in RS Patch Notes this week: 
1. Clarify the requirements to material caches with quest requirements in the Archaeology Skill Guide. 
2. Get rid of the "Check findings" option from the Archaeology research table due to the "Manage research notes" option. 
3. The Fortune perk now prioritizes sending Archaeology materials to the Material Storage over the Bank. 
4. "Dealt with" a wandering NPC who took a wrong turn at Lumbridge market and found himself at Stormguard Citadel. 

Fixes to RS archaeology skill this week

In addition to the archaeology changes above, the latest Patch Notes also reveals new fixes to archaeology this week: 
1. Fix an issue that the perks Refined 4, Tinker 4 and Rapid 4 aren't activating as often as they should. 
2. Fix an incorrect message displaying when withdrawing from Archaeology Material Storage with a full Inventory. 
3. Fix an issue that an NPC is repeating the wrong dialogue after completing the Vault of Shadows mystery. 
4. Fix an issue causing the Spear of Annihilation to be held incorrectly if it fully degrades whilst equipped.
